Do you install the gate itself, or just the automation?
We specialize in the automation — the operator, controls, and access equipment that make a gate open and close. We don't build the physical gate; instead we work alongside your fabricator or fencing company, automating swing, slide, and cantilever gates they build or that you already have.
My automatic gate stopped working — can you repair it?
Yes. Gate operator repair is a core part of what we do, and we service every brand we sell plus plenty we don't. We move on service calls quickly across Vancouver Island and the Okanagan. Call the number for your region and we'll get you booked.
How much does an automatic gate operator cost?
It depends on the gate (swing, slide, or cantilever), its size and weight, the operator brand, power availability, and the access controls you want. Rather than a misleading flat number, we look at your specific setup and give you an honest quote. Call us with the details and we'll walk you through the options.
Which gate operator brands do you install and service?
We install and service LiftMaster, NICE, CAME, ARIA / mHouse, HySecurity, and most other major brands. Because we work across all of them, we can recommend the right operator for your gate instead of pushing a single line.
Can you automate a gate I already have?
In most cases, yes. If your existing swing, slide, or cantilever gate is sound and properly hung, we can size and fit the right operator to it. We'll confirm it's a good candidate when we assess the site.
Do you install keypads, intercoms, and card access?
Yes — access control is one of our three core services. We install keypads, intercoms (wired, cellular/GSM, or wireless), card and fob readers, mag locks, electric strikes, and remotes, so you control exactly who comes through your gate.
Are your installations safe and code-compliant?
Yes. We perform work to UL 325 and ASTM F2200 — the standards that govern automatic gate safety — including entrapment protection with safety edges and photo eyes. Automatic gates carry real force, and doing this to standard is exactly why using a specialist matters.
Can you do solar or off-grid gates?
Yes. For sites without easy power at the gate, we install solar and battery-backup operators so your gate keeps working reliably off-grid — common on rural acreages and remote entrances across the Island and Okanagan.
What's the difference between swing, slide, and cantilever gates?
A swing gate pivots open like a door and suits level, unobstructed entrances. A slide gate rolls sideways and works well where there's no room to swing or on a slope. A cantilever gate is a slide gate that hangs from a track with no ground wheels, ideal where the ground is uneven or you don't want a bottom rail. We automate all three.
What areas do you serve?
On Vancouver Island: the Comox Valley (Courtenay and Comox), Campbell River, Parksville and Qualicum, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Duncan, and down to Victoria and the South Island. In the Okanagan: Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, and surrounding communities. We also serve Powell River.
